Ladysmith Waterfront

The Salish Sea provides you with opportunities for endless adventures on the water, as well as a scenic backdrop for your photos. From swimming to paddling to fishing to harbour tours, you and your family can spend an entire vacation on the water in Ladysmith.

Paddling

Sea Legs Kayaking at Transfer Beach rents kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. You can also sign up for lessons and wildlife tours. If you’ve got your own gear, the beach is the ideal launch site.

Boating

If you’re taking your boat with you on vacation, head for our municipal boat launch. It’s right in the centre of town.

Harbour tours

Take a summer harbour tour with the non-profit Ladysmith Maritime Society and enjoy stories of our local history while you get up close to eagles, seals, otters, cormorants and other wildlife. While on board you’ll “Cross the Line” -- the 49th Parallel, that is. It separates Canada from the U.S. (Don’t worry – no passport needed!)
